Move determined by oil prices, stock price suffers
Standard & Poor’s has cut its rating for ENI from A- to BBB+ with a credit watch with negative implications, the Italian energy giant said Thursday. The agency kept its A-2 short-term rating for the company. ENI said the move was determined mainly due to low oil prices. The company’s share price on the Milan stock exchange dropped by 1.86% to 13.22 euros after the announcement.
