Four projects. Four great public works still in the throes of being built that represent results of the world of infrastructure. California’s high-speed rail system, the new Panama Canal, the economic corridor between China and Pakistan and the Riyadh metro system: these are considered by analysts and consultants as the most significant public projects underway. Not only are they costly projects (California’s railway system will total $68 billion) but also unique in terms of the economic impact that they will have and the development that they will encourage. They come on the back of a strong performance by the sector: a report by Preqin shows how investments in infrastructure have produced results that meet or exceed expectations of 76% of investors.
We Build Value is the online Magazine produced by Salini Impregilo that covers the major trends in the global economy as well as the challenges faced by the infrastructure sector.
